About Me

I've been teaching at Laurens Central School since 2011-2012 after being a stay-at-home mom and substitute teacher for Cherry Valley – Springfield Central School for several years.  Previously I taught at South Seneca Central School in Ovid, NY.

I have an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from SUNY Cobleskill, a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Ec Education from SUNY Oneonta, and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University.  I earned my certification in Health in 2017.

While at LCS, I have had the pleasure of teaching Health 7 and HS Health, FACS 7 & FACS 8, Consumer Math, Food Science, Clothing Design & Fabrication, Cultural Foods, Needle Arts, Housing and Architecture, and Child Development and Parenting.  I have also been an advisor for Trep$, Odyssey of the Mind, SADD and the Class of 2019.

My two youngest children are graduates of Laurens Central School!

My goal is for my students to be able to take what they learn in my classroom and apply it to “real life”.  I don’t  want my students to just be successful while they are at LCS and in my classroom, I want my students to be successful at LIFE! laugh
